I guess Man Utd fans around the whole will be celebrating just like me after capturing their 3rd Champions League Cup (the last was from 1998/99 season - waited for nearly 10 years)... This completes their glorious double this season!!! Awesome stuff from Man Utd this season... I watched the match with tai, butt, kenny and shun... This was a really exciting match and luckily i made the right choice in watching in even though i have flu...
Man Utd really dominate the first half and it was really unlucky that Chelsea equalized... Man Utd have the chance to seal the game in first half - only if tevez and carrick have scored with the good chance they had... Damn it... Second half were more or less for Chelsea... They are creating more chances and luckily, two of the "sure goal" shot hit the post... If not it would have been game over for Man Utd... Phew... Really tight game and we really have quite a number of scary occasion...
Ryan Giggs was introduced in place of Scholes and the Welshman made a record 759th appearance for the Red Devils... The most important part is he even score from the spot kick!!! What a old bird... Haha...
The dramatic shootout looked to be going Chelsea's way after Petr Cech saved Cristiano Ronaldo's effort but Terry's miss cost them the title dearly...
Goalkeeper Edwin van der Sar was the hero with a penalty save to deny Nicolas Anelka after Chelsea captain John Terry had missed the chance to win the Blues the trophy by firing his own spot-kick hit the post... Whoo~~~ Time to celebrate!!! He played mind game wth Anelka as he pointed to his left side of the post but dived to his right (just nice the spot where Anelka placed his spot kick)... The rest is history... When Man Utd won we hugged each other and gave each other high fives... Lol seems like we won the title sia... Such a wonderful moment...
Maybe if Drogba isn't sent off for a meangingless slap, Man Utd might have lost the game... Anyway i really think that luck and fate played a huge part in their victory la...
